Laying a foundation for the


Heptagon Information Technology, LLC, offers an internship that enables the participant opportunity to gain practical, marketable work experience in a variety of Information Technology disciplines. Our interns have the benefit of working with some of the brightest minds in the IT industry, gaining hands-on, real-world experience while pursuing their educational goals, and earning a paycheck as well. Selected participants gain skills and insight into the fields of Network Engineering, Cyber Security, and Unified Communications. We have witnessed the synergy created through this program and have discovered both partners gain a richer experience and are more motivated and prepared for the workforce upon program completion than if they prepared alone. Phase 1

Week 1

  • Career Assessment Discussions

    • Account Setup
    • Training Library
    • Virtualization Lab
  • Heptagon Expectations
  • Assignment Of Mentor


Phase 2

Months 1-3

  • IT Specialization  
  • Attend Heptagon Lunch and Learn Seminars 
  • IT Certification Exam Preparation (Network Administration, Unified Communications Specialist, System Administration and Information Assurance Specific Training plans listed below) 
  • Attend Professional and Social events (AFCEA, Small business expos, TechMGM, Job Fares, etc.)

Phase 3

Months 2 & 3

  • Resume review, feedback from Heptagon Leadership 
  • LinkedIn Review / Update 
  • Mock Interviews w/ Heptagon Tech Team 
  • Coordinate Interviews with Industry partners 
  • Assist with Job Search 
  • Professional Advancement, Corporate Culture, Salary Negotiation Strategies 
  • Lead / Participate / brief during Heptagon Lunch and Learn Seminar 
  • Schedule Certification Exams
