Lamar has over 20 years of DoD IT experience. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1998, where he served as a computer and network technician for four years. Since being honorably discharged from the USMC in 2002, he has worked for various agencies within the DoD, including USAF and DISA. He currently holds several top industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP routing and switching, and a CCDP. He has participated in the design and implementation of several large-scale DoD projects such as the Air Force VPN, JRSS, and the Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services Datacenter. 

Lamar currently lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife and 2 step children. Lamar is a member of the motorcycle riding group, Semper Fi Riders, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of Marines serving and supporting the local Huntsville community by advancing the awareness of the needs and contributions of America’s veterans and their families.
