DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will support the United States Air Force Civil Engineering NexGen project. In this role, you will work with our dynamic NexGen team to support critical Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities for the Air Force customer. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful development, analysis and deployment actions to the Air Force CE community across more than 200 bases worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate experience in automating DevOps Jenkins pipelines, including maintenance, settings, and configurations
  • Demonstrate experience with DevOps tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and JFrog Artifactory
  • Utilize programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and Ruby
  • Understand and use code scan tools such as SonarQube and CheckMarx
  • Exhibit a strong understanding and experience with JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Work effectively independently as well as part of a large diverse team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • DevOps Certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security Plus or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • 7-10 years of JAVA and JAVA Script programming experience
  • Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Experience in programming for military systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to deal effectively, comfortably, and confidently with people at all levels of responsibilities, authority, and rank
  • Have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Air Force CE Community
  • Knowledge of TRIRIGA IWMS software
  • Experience working with federal government programs, particularly DoD


Required Clearance:

  • Must possess a verifiable Department of Defense Secret clearance.
