Network Implementation and Integration Engineer

Implementation and integration engineer with experience and expert knowledge of the USAF and Air National Guard (ANG) Enterprise WAN and MPLS architecture.

Minimum/General Experience: Must have at least 10 years’ related directly related experience in network analysis and design.

Also requires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network engineering plus a strong knowledge of and ability to support enterprise network hardware, concepts, routing protocols, and network security posture.  Must be able to work on call when needed and be available to travel if required.

Must Have

  • Strong understanding and experience with various routing, switching, and security products
  • CCNA or JNCIA certification equivalent or better
  • IAT Level 2 certifications (GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP)
  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

Good to Have

  • Cisco CCNP and CCSP certifications (or CCIE)
  • Palo Alto ACE or PCNSE
  • Experience with DoD enterprise networks
  • Bluecoat Certified Proxy Administrator (BCCPA)

Functional Responsibility:

The candidate must be able to lead the implementation and integration teams that will deploy to enterprise boundary modernizations. Additionally will assist with verification, review, and provide updates to the Telecommunication Systems Installation Plan (TSIP) documentation to ensure smooth installations and transition to the equipment.

Must be familiar with configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment to include (but not limited to): Cisco ASR 100x family of products, Cisco 3750, and must be familiar with how to read and interpret standard USAF Tech Order manuals developed in support of SDP Mod

Must be familiar with configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall and Bluecoat Packet Capture equipment.

Helps guide, execute, communicate, initiate and close-out all field installation efforts to ensure operational cut overs are executed according to plan, are within ASI guidelines, and ensures that all post-installation procedures are verified and executed.
Communicate, troubleshoot, and resolve all 3rd level operational network issues during integration to ensure quality delivery of the systems performed by the field installation teams.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less-experienced engineering personnel as required by the implementation. Collaborate and participate in enhancing organizational knowledge management environment
