System Administration

Manages all the Air Force Enterprise systems for the program to include updates, life cycle management, IAVMs, software patches, etc. Manages the functionality and efficiency of all enterprise servers on multiple operating systems. Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems Set up administrator and service accounts Maintain system documentation Interact with users and evaluate vendor products Make hardware and software purchase recommendations, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources May program in an administrative language Develop and implement testing strategies and document results Provide advice and training to end-users Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned Participate in special projects as required Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring; security; Operating System (OS) installation; and other local area system administration-related functions. A minimum of three years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems. Systems Administrators shall have all applicable operating systems certifications required for the server and storage hardware.

Junior:

  • Must possess a verifiable Department of Defense Secret clearance.
